Technology Requirements for Online Courses
Westminster Online students must have regular access to a computer that is in good working condition and has a stable internet connection. A tablet or smartphone is not sufficient for online courses. A Google Chromebook and Microsoft Surface is not sufficient for online courses that require remote proctored exams or specific software installation. A webcam and a headset or microphone for your computer are required for full participation and engagement in courses.

Please consider the following while participating in online courses:
- Using a shared internet connection will impact your connectivity, such as when additional members of your household use streaming, gaming, or other activities requiring the internet.
- Wireless connections may be impacted by the distance from the router and interference from microwaves and other electronics. (Wired connections are recommended.)
- Your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) performance may vary throughout the day based on community usage.
